BSI C5 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2 for GroupAlarm

Certifications confirm high IT security standards of GroupAlarm

Following the successful BSI C5 testing Type 1, GroupAlarm has now also received Type 2 verification and SOC 2 verification Type 2. These attestations confirm the effectiveness of the measures implemented last year to fulfil the C5 and SOC 2 criteria. The independent auditing company HKKG from Cologne is responsible for carrying out the audits.

What the tests mean

C5 certificate type 2 The C5 certificate (Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue) type 2 confirms that all criteria for secure cloud computing in Germany have been met. It serves companies and in particular operators of critical infrastructures as proof of the effective implementation of the security criteria defined by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). This creates additional security and trust in the cloud provider. Compliance with the C5 standard has long been mandatory for federal authorities when using external cloud services. Since 1 July 2024, cloud providers offering digital services in healthcare must now also meet the strict criteria of the BSI C5 certificate, as stipulated by the new Digital Act (DigiG).

SOC 2 certificate type 2 With the SOC 2 certification, GroupAlarm emphasises its international orientation. This certification confirms that the company fulfils high standards in terms of the security, availability, integrity and confidentiality of its services. This is particularly important for customers worldwide who rely on the fact that their data and processes are in safe hands.

A step forward for GroupAlarm

The successful tests show that GroupAlarm is continuously working to improve its IT security standards and adapt to the latest requirements. This is a significant step towards further strengthening customer trust and consolidating the company’s position as a leading provider of alerting solutions. By meeting the C5 and SOC 2 standards, customers and partners can be assured that GroupAlarm not only fulfils current security requirements, but also proactively considers future developments in the field of IT security. By continuously optimising its security measures and complying with internationally recognised standards, GroupAlarm sets a clear example of quality and reliability.
